Marquita Thompson is a Licensed Professional Counselor that is trained and using principles from evidenced based treatment models such as Brief Psychodynamic approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Functional Family Therapy, Solution focused and strength based. Our work together will be customized to fit your needs.
Marquita works with individuals, families, teens, children ages 4 and up dealing with a variety of issues. She provides counseling for a wide variety of clients, ranging from in-home to outpatient services. Her specialties include family trauma, grandparents raising grandchildren, and parenting issues. Her goal is to provide clients a safe space where they feel comfortable sharing their story while gaining hope, self acceptance, insight, and confidence.
In her role as your therapist, she is here to be with you in the moments that seem the hardest, most frustrating, and at times require your last ounce of strength. We all need support- psychotherapy is the tool that I have been educated and trained in to assist you on your journey through the chapters of life.
As all professional counselors in Ohio do, Marquita works under supervision and direction. This ensures that providing you with the highest quality of care possible, and provides you with a person to contact, should you ever need to, regarding the care Marquita provides. Marquita’s supervisor is Mrs. Jennifer Sheard-Lynch, LPCC-S.
